squaremetres is a UK company – since 2005 we have been specialising in advertising property for sale in Portugal. Our website has been hugely successful – visited by thousands of people most of whom have already decided on Portugal as their destination.

Over the years we had so many people asking us if we knew of places where they could to stay in Portugal, that it was a logical step to offer holiday rentals and places to stay on our website too. So, whether you . . .

have a flat/apartment, villa/house; or caravan to rent ;

We think it is important that people can find your advert easily – so we have made searching on our website simple. There area various options if you want your advert to really stand out.

We respect the privacy of all our advertisers and do not share, sell or rent anyone’s details. squaremetres is registered under the terms of the Data Protection Act 1998 (UK). All email enquiries are filtered through our website – protecting your privacy and reducing spam – whilst you remain totally in control of bookings.

It’s easy to advertise on our website

You will need to register with us. This is a simple process (yes, really).
Create your advert - we have made this as easy as possible with hints and guides to help you. At any time you can check the advert in “preview” – and make any changes using the “edit” facility.
Proceed to the secure “checkout” where you can add extras to make your advert stand out - all prices are clearly displayed so there are no unpleasant surprises!
When you are happy, just click the “pay for advert” button. Payments will either be processed through the secure “Google Checkout” system or you can pay by cheque or BACs transfer – the last two options will delay your advert appearing on our site as payments must clear before the advert goes “live”.
We will email you an invoice or receipt to confirm your purchase.
You can edit your advert or buy additional products at any time.

It’s as simple as that.

We are conscious of protecting your privacy - your email address will not be published on the website. All email enquiries are filtered through our website (which also reduces spam). And you can choose whether or not you want a telephone number (or lots of telephone numbers) and/or your own website to appear in the advert.

Once you are registered with us, you can log-in to the secure “advertisers” area at any time. Why? Well, you may decide to run a “special offer” promotion (maybe a guest has just cancelled at the last minute and you want to fill the availability), or maybe you have just taken some great new photographs of your property that you want to feature in your advert.

It is very important to us that we maintain the integrity of our website – therefore we check all adverts before they appear on-line. This can take up to 2 working days and we will email you to let you know when your advert has been approved and is “live”.

We offer a discount if you have more than one property located on the same site, for example - if you have 2 houses and a separate annexe all sharing the same garden. For discounted rates, email us at ads@square-metres.co.uk with a brief description of your property.

And how do you pay for your advert?

It’s easy and secure to buy on-line with us – we use Google Checkout to process our transactions via their secure servers and we don’t get to see your card details.
